St. Lawrence students! Want to spend the summer in the North Country? We are currently accepting applications for our 2019 summer naturalist internship.

What is Nature Up North? We work to combine experiences in nature with web-based technologies to spark new interest in the natural world. We lead hikes, paddles, and educational workshops in the community and in local schools and our interactive website allows users to download trail maps, share nature photos, learn about local outdoor events, and participate in citizen science projects. We aim to make technology a tool for building an environmentally aware community in the North Country.

Summer naturalist interns at Nature Up North are students with interest in the environment, outdoor leadership, and community outreach. The 10-week internship is a full-time 40 hr/week position and includes campus housing and a stipend.  We are proud to offer opportunities for motivated student interns to contribute to our mission, including developing programs, creating online content, managing social media, website development, engaging with the community through environmental journalism, and more.
